Hot Oil Unit Operator operates machinery used for proper breakdown of wax, paraffin and other buildup in hot oil units. Responsible for proper handling of hot oil truck and all other tools or machinery. Being a Hot Oil Unit Operator may be responsible for training new employees and ensuring that personnel is properly adhering to safety precautions. May perform administrative duties as necessary. Additionally, Hot Oil Unit Operator requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Hot Oil Unit Operator works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Sets up, operates, and controls a specific range of Hot Forging equipment. Enters in production and measurement information into required records correctly and accurately. Forging presses and induction heaters and any other related equipment required to run the jobs. Read and understand the tooling requirements by reading the shop work order. Use standard measuring tools to .0002" accuracy. Read and interpret complicated drawings, including hydraulic and pneumatic schematic drawings and symbols.
Heading example: Change punches, inspect parts, set up and feed wire drawers, monitor work coming out of machines. Must be able to properly use all inspection equipment.
