Hospital Staffing Coordinator coordinates scheduling and staffing to ensure sufficient staff coverage for all shifts within a healthcare facility. Works with clinical and administrative departments to project staffing needs and achieve required staffing levels. Being a Hospital Staffing Coordinator utilizes and maintains staffing scheduling software/programs to schedule shifts, monitor staffing levels, and input related data. May perform other administrative functions as necessary. Additionally, Hospital Staffing Coordinator may be responsible for recruiting new staff. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Hospital Staffing Coordinator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. If you are looking to utilize your organizational and communication skills, the Staffing Coordinator position may be perfect for you. This is a Full-Time staffing coordinator position. This individual must be able to multitask, coordinate with department managers and staff, and organize individual schedules for effective hospital functioning. Staffing Coordinators must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. In addition, staffing coordinators monitor CPR and handle-with-care recertification dates to ensure that the treatment facility is within compliance.

Qualifications:Education: BA/BS in psychology, communications, or a related human services field preferred.
Experience: Experience working within a staffing preferred. Psychiatric experience preferred.
