POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, and schedule staff to meet the daily requirements in accordance with current federal, state and local standards and regulations that govern the facility and as directed by management and the Administrator.
The Staffing Coordinator will treat each resident with kindness, dignity and respect. They will communicate clearly, empathetically, and effectively when speaking to residents, family members, visitors, all staff and governmental agencies.
They will work cooperatively with all departments and multidisciplinary teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting the DSD, DON and / or Administrator with scheduling staff
Maintaining the staffing report to meet the required daily PPD
Calling staff to come in when needed
Operating paging / telephone system as required
Reporting suspicious persons to a supervisor immediately
Performing administrative duties (typing, filing, posting to accounts, etc.)
Order supplies only if directed and approved
Other duties as assigned (Receptionist, and / or Central Supply)
Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information
Following safety regulations and precautions at all times
Reporting any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately
Abiding with all facility policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS
Education / Licensure
High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge of medical terminology and staffing positions a plus
Certifed Nursing Assistant Certificate
Minimum 1 year of staffing coordinator experience in healthcare or skilled setting
Should be able to type 45 words per minute with minimal errors
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Outlook and Word
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
Must possess a cheerful and collaborative personality
