As a Hoist Operator at Frontier-Kemper, reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

• Performing and recording a pre-shift inspection of all hoisting equipment
• Monitoring and repairing or reporting changes in the condition of the equipment including wire ropes, brakes, indicators, motors, etc. that could affect the safe operation of the equipment
• Operating the hoisting equipment in response to hand signals, bell signals, or vocal commands transmitted via radio or telephone
• Controlling multiple drums and winches individually or in combination

Requirements:

• Possession of, or ability to obtain, applicable State and Federal Hoisting Certifications is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience operating or maintaining cranes or hoisting equipment.
• Adequate visual acuity to see and accurately interpret position indicators
• Adequate auditory acuity to hear and understand bell signals or telephonic voice commands
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Hoist Operators must be able to perform the work without posing a direct threat to the health or safety of self or others due to the safety sensitivity of task
