Hoist and Winch Operator jobs in Kentucky
Hoist and Winch Operator sets-up and operates a hoisting machinery. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Hoist and Winch Operator may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Hoist and Winch Operator relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Read, write, and comprehend simple instructions.
· Coordinate movement of parts and materials, changing of racks, and enter data.
· Communicate with other areas, receive directions from your supervisor.
· Since it is sometimes necessary, must be capable of performing all operator tasks.
· Maintain a clean and organized area, ensuring all materials are stored correctly.
· Enforce procedures and highlight issues or concerns to your supervisor.
· Be a role model for attendance, punctuality, attitude, and flexibility.
Competencies
- Work standing for a 10-hour shift in a production environment.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination used to place heavy materials on the line.
Compensation
- $16.00hr to start pay is based on experience
- Monday - Thursday 5am-3:30pm OR 6:15am- 5:00pm
