Job Description

The primary purpose of this post is to assist with the assembling of components in electric and pneumatic actuators in Providence facility to a consistent high level of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

• Build actuators to a consistently high level of quality, following the relevant Process Instructions and using hand tools and power tools
• It is necessary to achieve and maintain a consistent build rate
• Actuators differ depending on customer requirements, it is therefore important to follow the specific build instructions to ensure the actuator fully meets the build specification
• You will be expected to work overtime in order to share heavy workloads when required, in order that we can fulfil customer promises
• You must comply with all safety requirements in particular manual handling procedures
• You will be expected to contribute to our improvement processes and help reduce waste in whatever way you can and we will support suggestions for the improvement of working methods
   

Qualifications

• Must have good manual dexterity and must be able to maintain concentration in order to apply a good level of attention to detail
• Basic working knowledge of MS Office applications 
• Ability to spend ample time on one’s feet for working purposes 

Desirable: 

• Previous experience in a similar light electro-mechanical assembly role or experience of an engineering environment would be advantageous
• Previous experience in assembly 
• Manufacturing/ shop experience
