Position Summary:

Provides professional clinical laboratory science services in the department's Histology and Cytology sections, including performance of clinical lab exams, quality control, instrument maintenance and validation, testing validation, testing management, and other functions toward the attainment of goals.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science, one of the specialty areas, or one of the chemical or biological sciences.
• Current ASCP HTL certification or registry eligible and completion of certification within one year of employment.
• One year experience in a histopathology laboratory is preferred. Laboratory experience to include general knowledge of hospital policies and procedures, computer, medical terminology, and histology procedures (fixation, microtomy, processing, and staining).
