Being a Highway Patrol may require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Must meet physical and personal requirements. Additionally, Highway Patrol has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. There is currently a full-time position available for a Highway Equipment Operator/Maintenance Worker with the Monkton Highway Department. Responsibilities include snow plowing, road maintenance and equipment maintenance. Strong mechanical ability is highly desirable and applicant must have some working knowledge of road maintenance techniques. Class B CDL is required. This position requires flexible winter hours and includes an excellent benefit package. The position is open until filled.
