River Point Farms is seeking a Maintenance Helper to join our local team. The Helper is r esponsible for entering data into preventative maintenance system, receiving and distributing parts and materials, and managing the inventory supplies for the shop as well as stocking remote cabinets on the floor. This position will also assist with environmental data entry, surveys, sampling, and record keeping.

• Maintain parts inventory and organize, categorize and photolog existing parts and equipment.

• Check in parts against invoices and purchase orders to complete paperwork and enter data into systems.

• Take and call-in orders from mechanics to vendors. Oversee impromptu requests.

• Confirm with mechanics the information recorded pertaining to cost of maintenance and repair parts.

• Accurately maintain the record management system.

• Record specified data on equipment for entry into preventative maintenance system.

• Assist with environmental and food safety water sampling, such as include wastewater, water, soil, tissue, and monitoring wells, and deliver samples to the laboratory.

• Responsible for environmental system data entry and filing system.

• Assist with daily monitoring of land application system.

• Cross-train in a variety of basic mechanical tasks to assist mechanics.

• Make recommendations for correcting equipment inventory problems, efficiencies, and other continuous improvements.

• Assist in inter-department mail delivery, the security, and the upkeep of overall appearance of the equipment and shop.

• Champion a world-class safety culture by actively observing, reporting issues/concerns, and following all company and industry policies and processes.

• Participate in industry-related and regular safety meetings and trainings.

• Inventory tracking, parts inventory, or other related experience. Basic mechanical aptitude with any maintenance experience desired.

• Valid in-state driver’s license with ability to operate forklift/telehandler/lifts.

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

• Good computer skills, including MS tools. Ability to learn new software/systems.

• Attention to detail with ability to read labels and identify mechanical parts.

• Strong demonstrated interpersonal, customer service, and professional communication skills. Spanish Bilingual a plus.

• First Aid and CPR certifications, or ability to obtain certifications upon hire.

• Meet the physical requirements of the role including ability to lift up to 70 pounds and activities associated with standing, lifting, bending, twisting, and climbing. Work includes long-term sitting and occasional long-term standing/walking during.

• Able to work nights, holidays, weekends and shift work, per company needs.
