The Chimney Chap, located in Hanson, is a reputable and growing company who specializes in Home Heating Solutions, Masonry, & Outdoor Living Products. Established in 1980, our primary focus is working with and installing fireplaces, chimneys, venting, and clothes dryer venting, in compliance with Local, State, and National Building Codes performed by CSIA and NFI Certified Industry Professionals. Whether you heat your home with your fireplace, fueled by gas or oil, gas, wood or pellet appliances, the chimney and venting systems must be maintained for an efficient and safe combustion system.

The Chimney Chap & South Shore Fireplace is seeking experienced mason professionals to work on our projects specifically with chimney builds, fireplace facade remodels, fireplace firebox rebuilds, and facing outdoor living products such as fire-pits and outdoor kitchens. We work with both residential and commercial customers.

The ideal candidate should be energetic, motivated, detail oriented, and a team player. Candidate should also be able to teach and explain masonry to encourage the development of their crew.

Full or part time Monday- Friday 7am-4pm. Some Saturday’s
Must have the ability to perform, and experience with, the following job functions:

• Supervise and work with multiple crews daily
• Maintain high standard of quality while maintaining safe work habits
• Must be able to supervise, instruct, and objectively evaluate the performance of workers
• Ability to understand and read instructions, drawings, building codes, and other various tools and forms of communications used on job sites.
• Must have sufficient knowledge of materials, equipment operation, and tools commonly used in daily activities
• Must have knowledge with scaffold set up
• Must have experience pulling, and backing trailers
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and set up a 40’ Ladder
• Must be comfortable with heights and roofs
• Detail oriented
• Clear verbal and communication skills
• Excellent customer service
• Work closely with Owners, Supervisors, and staff to complete project in a timely manner within job costs and under budget
• Maximize productivity and successfully complete installations
• Ability to prioritize and multi task in a fast paced environment
• Strong work ethic and willingness to travel
• Ability to work in extreme conditions
• Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
• Must be able to use and navigate IPad and Facebook

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
