Help Desk Support Assistant responds to end-user requests for technical assistance by phone, email, or ticketing system. Troubleshoots and resolves basic computer, application, system, device, access, or performance issues. Being a Help Desk Support Assistant uses established processes and procedures to document, track, and resolve reported problems and to meet operational service levels and standards. Utilizes product information or solution database to research, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions. Additionally, Help Desk Support Assistant advises users on the methods, steps, and actions to resolve and avoid future issues and provides documentation as needed. Escalates problems to appropriate levels or teams to achieve issue resolution. May support installs or upgrades of software or devices, set up user profiles, or re-set passwords. Fulfills all service level standards for response time and quality. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. Overview
The IT Help Desk Tech I role at Melaleuca Headquarters serves on a team of Help Desk professionals working to provide world-class Help Desk support to Melaleuca employees.
This position receives reports of technical problems and requests for services by phone, email and walk-up from Melaleuca employees.
In this role you will resolve these issues on first contact by troubleshooting and restoring service or providing access and instruction.
For technical issues that cannot be resolved by the IT Help Desk Technician I, next level IT support teams are engaged for additional troubleshooting and resolution.
The Help Desk provides physical desk side support at the Headquarters building and at other Melaleuca facilities in addition to providing services including account management, Asset Procurement / Management, System Builds, Cell Phone provision and support, IP Phone management and support, Incident Management, Multimedia Conference room support and a wide variety of other support services as needed.
A Help Desk I technician will have a solid technical aptitude for resolving and supporting issues related to Windows / Mac, hardware, software, network, servers, and Active Directory.
