Help Desk Supervisor supervises the staff and the day-to-day operations of an organization's technical help desk. Supports and coaches team members on effective methods to research, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions. Being a Help Desk Supervisor trains the team on the help desk systems, processes, tools, and procedures required to document, track, and resolve reported problems and to meet operational service levels and standards. Ensures the latest product/technical updates and policies are available and communicated to the team. Additionally, Help Desk Supervisor monitors request queue and tracks key metrics to ensure sufficient coverage and achievement of service standards. Identifies system and workflow improvements to enhance the team's efficiency. Acts as the escalation point for critical issues and facilitates a final resolution. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Help Desk Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Help Desk Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Position Summary:
    The Help Desk Specialist will serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance for computer-related issues. This role requires a combination of technical know-how, exceptional customer service skills, and a keen understanding of our business operations.
    Responsibilities and Duties:
    • Provide first-level contact and convey resolutions to user issues.
    • Properly escalate unresolved queries.
    • Track, route, and redirect problems to correct resources.
    • Walk customers through the problem-solving process, either face-to-face or over the phone, as necessary.
    • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software including printers, computers, and screen printing-specific applications.
    • Train new employees on both standard and proprietary software.
    • Update self-help documents and FAQs for employees.
    • Track and log all help desk interactions and generate reports.
    • Monitor and respond quickly to incoming requests via the helpdesk interface.
    • Maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and management.
    Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Proven experience as a help desk technician or other IT customer support role.
    • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other office technology.
    • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
    • Proficiency in English; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Familiarity with screen printing business operations a plus.
    Required Education and Experience:
    • 3 years Information Technology work experience.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Able to lift computer equipment.
    • Able to move quickly between two offices 1 mile apart year round.
