Help Desk Supervisor supervises the staff and the day-to-day operations of an organization's technical help desk. Supports and coaches team members on effective methods to research, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions. Being a Help Desk Supervisor trains the team on the help desk systems, processes, tools, and procedures required to document, track, and resolve reported problems and to meet operational service levels and standards. Ensures the latest product/technical updates and policies are available and communicated to the team. Additionally, Help Desk Supervisor monitors request queue and tracks key metrics to ensure sufficient coverage and achievement of service standards. Identifies system and workflow improvements to enhance the team's efficiency. Acts as the escalation point for critical issues and facilitates a final resolution. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Help Desk Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Help Desk Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Start Date: Upon completion of Security Clearance, through May 31, 2024, with potential for extension

    Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM window

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide on-site technical support and updates to a public-facing website.
    • Quickly learn and manage new data management systems.
    • Create, modify, and execute various reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly).
    • Offer technical assistance to both new and current users of internal database systems.
    • Conduct testing and updates following database upgrades or fixes.
    • Support office staff with technical issues, including routine maintenance and troubleshooting of technical equipment.
    • Uphold cybersecurity, data protection, and privacy principles.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Experience with Drupal, TEAMS, SharePoint (administrative role preferred).
    • 2 years of direct end-user support experience.
    • 1 year of computer applications teaching/training experience.
    • Familiarity with network, telecommunications, and operating systems of supported applications.
    • Expertise in government word processing, spreadsheet, and email systems.
    • Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality work.
    • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Government or litigation support environment experience.
    • Undergraduate degree.
    • Supervisory experience.
    • Familiarity with DOJ office automation environments and government IT.
    • Experience with payroll and financial management systems.
    • Automated litigation support experience.
    • Current or active clearance.
