Help Desk Manager manages the staff and operations of an organization's technical help desk. Ensures team members are trained and coached on effective methods to research, troubleshoot, deliver solutions, and access the current product or technical updates. Being a Help Desk Manager trains the team on the help desk systems and tools to identify, document, track, and resolve reported problems. Identifies and gathers key metrics to analyze the help desk performance and identify problem areas. Additionally, Help Desk Manager monitors and measures service metrics and volume to develop standards, improvements, or changes to workflows and resource allocation. Acts as an escalation point and facilitator for severe, critical, or unique issues. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Help Desk Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Help Desk Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Role and Responsibilities:

    • Assists with all IT duties as it relates to the bank and its functions.
    • Monitors Lansweeper Help Desk cases. Ensures that someone has taken ownership of each case in a timely manner including the entering of information into the Lansweeper application.
    • Trains on use of all hardware, software, and peripherals used by bank personnel.
    • Installs and upgrades new hardware, software, and peripherals bank wide.
    • Assists with computer hardware and software problem resolution and repairs through use of Help Desk software application.
    • Assists users by answering questions and providing support in a timely manner
    • Provide problem resolution, reassigning or escalating advanced inquiries to appropriate technician or staff
    • Assists IT Tech Support Supervisor in duties with approved network assignments.
    • Monitors nightly processing and Paris ATMs on weekends and holidays, as scheduled.
    • Monitors server storage capacity.
    • Keeps system and all peripheral hardware operating, including computers, ATMs, and printers.
    • Performs regular cleaning and maintenance; notifies IT Tech Support Supervisor of any abnormalities.
    • Records all equipment maintenance and repairs, production interruptions and software changes.
    • Creates EOM library when scheduled and cleans queues on the core system.
    • Assists with Mobile Device setup and usage.
    • Orders hardware and software as requested by supervisor.
    • Pursues certification of JHA applications and complimentary products.
    • Employee has prompt and regular attendance.
    • Strives to improve efficiency in his/her work area through cost savings.
    • Has a helpful attitude with co-workers and customers.
    • Adheres to IT Program including IT Security Policy and completes required IT training.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Technical training

    Preferred Skills:

    • Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and peripherals
    • Ability to work well with others
