Heavy Assembler assembles fabricated parts to large or heavy subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Heavy Assembler conducts welding, riveting, and trimming of parts to fit or align components. Uses hand and power tools, jigs, fixtures, and other assembly equipment. Additionally, Heavy Assembler typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Heavy Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The general assembly process may require the employee to work at any station during the workday dependent on staffing and production demands.
All employees may be expected to rotate to different workstations, or they may be required to work in a specific workstation depending on experience, training, and skill level to perform work tasks.
May be required to obtain certification for operation of Mules, Tuggers, Powered Industrial Trucks, Stackers and / or Overhead Cranes and may be required to obtain and maintain braze certification.

Range 2024 (for Colorado Residents) : $18.00 - $29.32 (Based off experience)
