Heavy Assembler assembles fabricated parts to large or heavy subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Heavy Assembler conducts welding, riveting, and trimming of parts to fit or align components. Uses hand and power tools, jigs, fixtures, and other assembly equipment. Additionally, Heavy Assembler typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Heavy Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. This position is working on an assembly line or at a sub-assembly station. Duties may include the use of, a tape measure, miscellaneous hand tools, a hand drill, a screw gun, a staple gun, a crane, and a stud welder. This position requires constant standing and may require the ability to drivea forklift.This person will work independently but towards the goals of the team.
Shifts are Monday - Thursday 5am - 330pm.Pay DOE: $18.95 - $23.69 Hourly
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Perform job tasks according to schedules, using established safe methods and processes.
- This position will include the use of a hand drill, screw gun, staple gun
- Duties may include the use of: Tape measure and miscellaneous hand tools.
- Work independently towards the goals of the team.
- Good mechanical aptitude a must.
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instruction.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED and must be 18 years old. Good mechanical aptitude a must. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. Good attendance and ability to work safely are necessary.
