Heavy Assembler assembles fabricated parts to large or heavy subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Heavy Assembler conducts welding, riveting, and trimming of parts to fit or align components. Uses hand and power tools, jigs, fixtures, and other assembly equipment. Additionally, Heavy Assembler typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Heavy Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Summary
This position s responsible for assembling and performing quality inspections on various products either on final assembly table, or at spot-weld machines. Must operate using principles of self-balancing flow manufacturing and meet Bobrick
/Gamco’s standards of safety, product quality, productivity and policies. The individual needs to constantly upgrade their job skills in keeping with changing technology. Employee is also responsible for working with the department leadsperson with performing assignments and meeting the goal and objectives as directed by the
Department Supervisor.
