Our Corporate office in Livonia, Michigan is currently seeking an EDI Analyst to join our Information Technology team. The EDI Analyst plays a vital role in managing electronic data interchange (EDI) processes and ensuring the smooth exchange of business documents between trading partners. This role requires a strong understanding of EDI standards and protocols, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to implement and maintain efficient EDI systems. The EDI Analyst is responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, and optimizing EDI processes to enhance operational efficiency and support business growth.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EDI strategies, policies, and procedures to streamline the exchange of electronic business documents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and trading partners to analyze business requirements and define EDI transaction sets and mappings.
- Design, configure, and test EDI maps, translations, and workflows to ensure accurate and efficient data exchange.
- Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the integrity and reliability of data transmissions.
- Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and external partners in implementing and maintaining EDI systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their EDI needs and requirements, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Coordinate with IT teams to integrate EDI systems with internal business applications and systems.
- Maintain EDI trading partner profiles, including onboarding new partners and managing changes to existing partner configurations.
- Ensure compliance with EDI standards, protocols, and data security requirements, such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, AS2, and secure file transfer protocols.
- Perform regular audits and validations of EDI data to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
- Develop and maintain EDI documentation, including mapping specifications, trading partner agreements, and error handling procedures.
- Monitor EDI performance and provide regular reports and metrics to measure system efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and implement EDI enhancements and automation opportunities.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to EDI and recommend innovative solutions.
- Conduct EDI training and provide support to internal users on EDI processes and tools.
- Coordinate EDI testing and certification processes with trading partners to ensure successful integration and compliance.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to implement new EDI initiatives or integrate EDI systems with other business applications.
- Manage EDI trading partner relationships, including resolving issues, maintaining communication, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Work with business stakeholders to define and implement data governance and data quality standards for EDI processes.
- Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and provide timely support and resolution for EDI-related incidents.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in EDI analysis, implementation, and support.
- Strong understanding of EDI standards, protocols, and transaction sets (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT, AS2).
- Proficiency in EDI software and tools, such as EDI translators, mapping tools, and secure file transfer protocols.
- Knowledge of data integration concepts, including data mapping, transformation, and validation.
- Experience with EDI mapping and translation tools (e.g., Gentran, IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, MuleSoft).
- Familiarity with EDI VANs (Value Added Networks) and connectivity methods.
- Understanding of business processes and workflows related to supply chain, procurement, and order management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data structures and troubleshoot EDI-related issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management is a plus.
- Experience with EDI testing and certification processes with trading partners.
- Knowledge of data security and encryption protocols related to EDI.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Knowledge of XML, JSON, and web services is desirable.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and their integration with EDI.
- Understanding of project management methodologies and the ability to manage EDI-related projects.
- Experience with EDI document standards in specific industries (e.g., healthcare, retail, automotive) is a plus.
