Position Overview:
Provides Maintenance, (including spark plug and/or oil changes), minor repairs, electrical trouble shooting, as needed on rental, company, and customer owned oil & gas production equipment such as open flare controls, ECD’s, Burner Management systems, Vapor Recovery Units, and other rotary equipment. Assists other team members with repairs, trouble shooting, and startups as needed. Job requires overtime hours, and occasional travel with some out-of-town stay. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of facility location will be considered.
Candidates hired will be responsible for providing the basic tools used; Included but not limited to; Screw drivers sets, Sledges, Hammers, Open End and Boxed End Wrenches from 1/4" - 2", Ratchet and Socket sets 3/8", 1/2" and 3/4", Air impacts 3/8”, 1/2", and Fluke 87-volt ohm meter.
Essential Job Functions:
Supports a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible.
Basic knowledge and operation of VRU’s and Flares.
Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting; Fundamentals of Electronics.
Ability to operate motor meggers, various types of multimeters sourcing and simulating 4-20ma transmitters.
Experience Reading and Interpreting Electrical, P&ID, GA and Fabrication drawings.
Knowledge and ability to identify 480volt 3 phase components step down to 120vac and step down to 24volt vdc.
Experience in Industrial Wiring, Terminating components, Motor Controls, Relay Logic, and PLC’s.
Flare Techs Perform tasks while on manlift at heights 50’ plus.
Responsible for maintenance, inspections, cleaning, and basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of Vapor Recovery Units and Flares located on customer sites.
Complete Timecards, field tickets and material transfers with accurate information and turned in daily.
Complete all job-related safety documentation to ensure the job is completed in a safe manner.
Keeps Company truck clean and ensures all required maintenance is performed.
Requires Responsible, Self-Motivated individual that can works in a field environment alone.
Experience Working with Electrical motors, starters, and drives.
Experience Working with Vacuum pumps, blowers, and belt driven/direct drive motors.
Experience Working with pneumatic valve, electric actuators, and process valves.
Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office application package, Excel, and Outlook.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet customer requirements.
Successfully Pass and obtain DOT Certification.
Participate in mandatory Drug & Alcohol testing program.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
