Additionally, Healthcare EDI Analyst may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Healthcare EDI Analyst work is closely managed.   • Overview 

     

    Free Market Health is seeking an experienced healthcare analyst with strong SQL skills, who can provide enterprise-wide analytical expertise for both internal and external customers.  This is an individual-contributor analytical role requiring strong business orientation coupled with demonstrable data analysis skills.  The role requires initiative, independence and drive, ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and ability to perform a wide variety of duties. 

     

    Specifics   

    The specific responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to: 

    • Actively leverage experience, knowledge, and critical thinking to contribute to execution of our business strategy. 
    • Serve as analytical consultant with our customers.  Build trust with our business partners through high-value analytical engagement and solutions. 
    • Develop intimate knowledge of business model and customer needs/nuances that can be leveraged in analytical value delivery.   
    • Collaborate/influence across teams to achieve shared results on behalf of our clients.   
    • Leverage applied analytical techniques to address customer problem statements and deliver meaningful solutions. 
    • Analyze medical/pharmacy claims data to identify trends, pinpoint issues/areas for improvement, and recommend solutions and alternatives. 
    • Serve as a requirements conduit for customer needs to inform the ongoing design of analytical or other systems. 
    • Summarize and synthesize data and information from multiple sources, interpret and translate findings into meaningful information and actionable results. 
    • Execute analyses and prepare presentations on program performance including operational, clinical, and economic subject areas. 
    • Expertise in data visualization and value narrative for various stakeholder groups. 
    • Monitor changes related to healthcare industry/data to identify required enhancements for analytic approaches. 
    • Actively contribute to data governance efforts to improve quality of our data foundation. 

     

    Qualifications 

    • 3 years of experience working as an analyst in the healthcare industry.   
    • Strong preference for experience within the specialty pharmacy space.  

     

    • Consultative expertise in working with customers, both internal and external in nature.  
    • Analytical experience with healthcare claims, provider, eligibility, and related data sets. 
    • Ability to collaborate across teams in pursuit of common goals. 
    • Expertise in developing complex, legible, and efficient scripts and queries in SQL. 
    • Experience in data engineering and analytic data transformation. 
    • Experience working with large data repositories and/or relational databases. 
    • Advanced analytic skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data through complex analysis. 
    • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision. 
    • Bachelor’s degree in analytics or related field. 
    • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in both technology and business environments. 
    • Ability to analyze data and apply appropriate analytical techniques in pursuit of solutions. 
    • Strong customer service and positive attitude. 
    • Highly self-motivated with keen attention to detail.  Critical thinker. 
    • Experience with Databricks and multiple SQL dialects preferred.  Technology adaptable. 
    • Experience with data visualization tools required – with experience in Tableau and/or Power BI preferred
