JOB SUMMARY

The Business Data Analyst is a crucial role in cleaning, analyzing, interpreting data received from Business Partners. This role will be responsible for collecting Business Partners data to facilitate the understanding, clarification, and implementation to WHPS systems. The ideal candidate will have strong and analytical skills, be able to identify, error and provide true analysis to the management team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

· In conjunction with the conversion project manager and conversion team, the conversion analyst may act as central point of contact for Carrier leadership during the planning, implementation and post implementation of conversion phases.

· Manage assigned risks and monitor potential impacts as part of the data conversion plan.

· Participates in implementation/discovery meetings with Carrier to structure project plans, communication, processes and carrier training.

· Conducts requirements gathering, design sessions and technical reviews with Carriers for data conversion needs

· Perform and execute mock runs and executing production data conversion.

· Clearly articulate and communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals.

· Perform data analysis on output of files processed to source system and report data issues back to the Carrier for resolution during mock runs and production cutover.

· Defect tracking.

· Provide conversion metrics.

· Must have understanding of EDI 834.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

· Knowledge of Enrollment/Billing processing.

· Knowledge of XML files

· SQL Knowledge

· Ability to analyze large quantity of data

· Hands on experience in developing and supporting data conversion projects

· Systemic, logical problem solver with well-developed analytical skills.

· Advanced Excel skills and expert level formula writing ability to include if/then statements, VLOOKUP's, sumif(s), countif(s), etc.

· Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

· Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands.

· Critical Thinking – ability to approach problems logically and make informed decisions based on data.

· Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to travel.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
