Health and Safety Administrator is responsible for identifying hazardous workplace conditions. Takes samples and measurements of hazardous materials, and coordinates the removal of physical, biological and chemical hazards. Being a Health and Safety Administrator trains employees on safety, company policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to employee safety. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Additionally, Health and Safety Administrator participates in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and identifying safety measures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Health and Safety Administrator typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide administrative support for the Health & Safety programs
Hours: M-F 8-5, you must be able to flex your schedule to work evening hours to administer blood drawl and hearing tests.
Physical Requirements:
· Physically fit for continuous standing, walking and sitting
· Will be exposed to extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid)
· Occasional lifting from grams up to 50 pounds
Equipment Used:
· PC with Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), Adobe, Acrobat, general office equipment
Education, Experience, Skills Required:
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Well-developed Excel skills
· Solid organization skills
· Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet formulas and formatting, including use of graphs and charts
