Health and Safety Administrator jobs in Garden Grove, CA

Millwork Brothers, Inc is seeking an experienced Safety and Health Administrator to lead and assist with the safety, wellbeing, injury prevention and risk management in a commercial Carpentry Environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identification of issues impacting health, safety and wellbeing of Carpentry shop and possible construction job sites
• Compiling safe work method statements, standard operating procedures and various other reporting duties
• Investigation of any issues identified as a result of audits and day-to-day operational activities
• Engaging with business partners to enable and drive health, safety and wellbeing
• Understanding and interpreting legislative compliance to OSHA standards and principles
• Operational tasks including safety PPE training and monitoring, incident investigations, risk assessments and delivering health and safety meeting and training programs
• Maintaining, updating and managing emergency response plans and evacuation procedures

To Excel in this role:

• Relevant qualifications with experience in safety administration
• Professional communication skills with demonstrated ability to lead and influence at management level
• At least 1 year experience in health and safety administration.
• Forklift Certified (preferred but not required)
• Any and all OSHA certifications (not required but HIGHLY preferred)
• Valid CA Driver's License with good driving record (Required; Fuel reimbursement offered)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
