Takes samples and measurements of hazardous materials, and coordinates the removal of physical, biological and chemical hazards. Being a Health and Safety Administrator trains employees on safety, company policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to employee safety. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Additionally, Health and Safety Administrator participates in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and identifying safety measures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Health and Safety Administrator typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. AIA is hiring an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to oversee various sites! The EHS Manager will hold a key role on the Leadership Team, responsible for ensuring the overall creation, implementation and maintenance of safety programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for employees throughout the facilities.
AIA Countertops is a fabricator of solid surface, granite, and quartz countertops, backsplashes, tables, and other products for the Residential, Commercial, RV, and Marine Industries.

Responsibilities and Duties:
The EHS Manager will own the overall framework and processes of the AIA Countertops/Premier Concepts EHS Management System, which guides the development and implementation of the environmental, health, safety and social risk management programs for the organization. These programs minimize environmental impacts, assure regulatory compliance, and maximize the safety of operations by partnering with various internal departments and making recommendations to senior management.
· Deliver regulatory safety training and other internal safety training as identified and needed
· Ensure AIA stays in compliance with all regulatory reporting per state and local guidelines
· Develop and issue Safety Alerts promptly
· Address safety issues identified by the plant leaders and employees and develop action plans to correct identified issues
· Work closely with departments to develop safety programs (lockout/tag out, etc.)
· Create and sustain a productive work culture and safe work environment
· Manage workers’ compensation process and claims management
· Effectively develop, implement, lead, and audit EHS monitoring and measurement plans, train personnel to implement those plans and be able to accurately analyze complex data.
· Serve as communication link between management and employees by keeping all personnel informed of EHS-related matters, handling questions, interpreting and developing programs, and helping resolve EHS-related problems all while promoting a culture of safety and heighten safety awareness for the business
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or
· The ideal candidate must be able to embrace and lead change, possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to efficiently balance multiple projects and the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences
· OSHA training certification preferred
· Must be able to manage multiple priorities make sound decisions, and handle pressure.
· The successful individual will be a mature self-starter, service-oriented and professional in conduct, attitude, and appearance
· Ability to lead through influence is a key capability need to be successful in this role
· Proven ability to achieve regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment.
· Knowledge of EPA and Chemical Reporting
