POSITION SUMMARY:
Works in conjunction with SGMC Materials Management teams and Director to establish work plan, goals and objectives necessary to meet the approved system savings targets. Assists in identification, selection and prioritization of system-wide Materials Management opportunities as they relate to supply chain standardization, utilization and implementation. Facilitate clinical quality value analysis (CQVA) teams to most effectively manage system projects. Integrates accepted practice changes and assures that standards of care are achieved when standardization opportunities are implemented. Meets with vendors and department to evaluate new and existing products to ensure utilization is optimized. Responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of healthcare products, identification of standardization opportunities while upholding the facilities policies, practices and standards of care ultimately resulting in improved clinical and financial outcomes. Carries out all directives issued by Manager of CQVA on a consistent basis to properly manage the needs of SGMC and affiliates.
