Mesilla Valley Hospital is a 120-bed facility, providing access to quality behavioral healthcare and substance abuse treatment to residents of New Mexico, West Texas and Arizona. MVH is the leader in providing quality mental health and addiction treatment services. Mesilla Valley Hospital is currently seeking a FT Mental Health Technician.

The MHT/CNA therapeutically interacts with the patient and assists in maintaining safety and cleanliness of the unit. Collaborates closely with the more experienced MHTs/ CNAs and Nurses to provide a therapeutic milieu under their guidance. MHTs/CNAs are expected to use training skills consistently. The MHT/CAN functions as an active part of the treatment team, they are role models to patients and other MHT/CNA's. The MHT/CNA work's under the direction of a Registered Nurse/Therapist. MHT/CNA demonstrate commitment to Service Excellence program.

Education: High School Degree/GED required; or Associates Degree in a Human Services field; or Bachelors Degree in a Human Services field; or a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Experience: Two years of work experience in a behavioral health facility, or bachelor' s degree in social services or related field, plus one year of work experience in behavioral health service or delivery preferred.
