Health Informatics Specialist will be responsible for providing analytic support and quantifying business requirements and performing analyses, forecasting and mining of data to support cross-functional teams and stakeholders. He/She will review patients’ records for timeliness, completeness and accuracy while communicating with cross-functional teams as appropriate. He/She will ensure that there is quality maintenance of the patient information/medical records within applicable laws, policies, rules, and regulations. He/She will also perform other duties as assigned or required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING Required qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Healthcare field, Business Discipline, and or Healthcare Management, Health Information Management or Information Science or equivalent experience 2. Two years of work experience in an acute care health information management setting 3. Working knowledge of medical terminology 4. Demonstrate advanced ability to operate a computer, multiple software applications, and other office equipment as necessary. Preferred qualifications: 1. Clinical experience. 2. Interpersonal skills necessary to deal with and establish working relationships with physicians, hospital personnel and co-workers
