Health Informatics Manager manages a clinical biostatistics or health informatics team. Oversees the analysis, management and performance of health information data to aid patient care. Being a Health Informatics Manager monitors latest software and technology to keep processes up-to-date and efficient. Communicates with analysts, healthcare providers, and management to establish new processes and analyses, and to tailor current data processes to best help providers. Additionally, Health Informatics Manager requires a master's degree. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Health Informatics Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Health Informatics Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The role of the Clinical Informatics Pharmacist is to apply knowledge of pharmacotherapy, principles of medication safety, and the medication use process to optimize information flow and improve patient outcomes. Evaluate and communicate needs of the region, serving as a liaison between the end user, regional information technology services and system services. Analyze regional impact of both minor changes and large system initiatives. Support users in application of technology (e.g., Electronic Health Record - EHR) to support communication and decision-making during patient care delivery.

    Qualifications:
    • BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D
    • 3-5 years experience in an ambulatory and/or inpatient setting working with providers, nurses, and other clinical health personnel and/or completion of an ASHP-accredited hospital-based pharmacy residency
    • Project leadership experience
    • Performance improvement experience
    • Electronic Health Record (EHR) utilization
    • Wisconsin licensure as a pharmacist (minimum CE credits) or eligibility for Licensure is required.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Advanced degree in medical informatics, computer science, or clinical discipline such as Nursing, Medical Technology, Pharmacy, etc.
    • Epic experience
    • PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics Residency
    • Experience implementing and maintaining software applications in a healthcare or business setting
    • Experience with Smart Pumps and integration to Electronic Health Record (EHR)
    • Experience with Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs), packaging systems, and/or other forms of pharmacy automation
    • Epic Certification(s) (Willow Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory, Bridges Interfaces, EpicCare Inpatient Clinical Documentation)
    • Certification or course work in project management
    • ANA certification in Informatics
