Our employees work remote but must be residents of Missouri, Oklahoma, Illinois, Indiana, Texas, Florida, Kentucky or Wisconsin. Occasional travel to onsite locations during go-lives and job shadows.

Job Summary:

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures optimal benefits of system HIT investments through adoption and optimization of information and technology to drive performance improvement, transformation and innovation of care delivery process across the care continuum.
• Participates in the design, implementation, optimization and change management of EHR and other clinical applications, and leads efforts identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency in the future.
• Drives system standardization of EHR and other clinical application workflows.
• Partners with site informatics, application team to bring innovative and clinical findings to the forefront of patient care, assuring uniform approach to support, design, implementation and governance.
• Acts as a change leader by partnering and organizing people and processes and facilitating change across the enterprise to facilitate design of clinical systems in conjunction with business priorities.
• Partners with Regulatory, Quality, Business and HIT teams to implement standardized system-based quality improvement recommendations.
• Serves as a consultative partner to clinical leadership on transformation of patient care through standardization and efficient clinical processes and tools.
• Conducts complex clinical operational workflow analysis to align HIT with strategic initiatives as well as formulate requirements for operation improvements.
• Partners with clinical operations, education, training, and leadership to identify opportunities around increased adoption and satisfaction using the EMR. Evaluates applications or vendors to best meet needs of the organization.
• Partners with IHT Application team in the seamless delivery of technology.
• Travels within organization as needed. 
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Informatics.  Master’s degree (Nursing or Informatics preferred) required within 3 years of hire.

EXPERIENCE

• Seven years' experience in nursing or patient care
• Three years’ experience in Informatics
• Three years’ experience in support of Electronic Health Record (EHR) system

CERTIFICATIONS

• Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Work Location or Compact Multi-State License
• Epic Certification in one or more modules (CLN01 preferred)
• One of the following within two years:
• Informatics Nursing Certification (RN-BC) - American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) - Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Inc. (HIMSS).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
• Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
• Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
• Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
• Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
• Rare climbing.

•         Or 
•         Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN) 
•     And  
•         FUTURE - Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) within 24 months - Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Inc. (HIMSS) 
•         Or 
•         FUTURE - Informatics Nursing Certification (RN-BC) within 24 months - American Nurses     Credentialing Center (ANCC)

•         Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State  
•         Or 
•         Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services 
•     And  
•         FUTURE - Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) within 24 months - Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Inc. (HIMSS) 
•         Or
