The Director of Informatics identifies and champions information systems and technology solutions that improve clinical efficiency, support optimal workflows, and enable clinicians to provide the best possible patient care. Working in close partnership with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Medical Officer, the Chief Medical Information Officer, the Office of Health Sciences along with other MSU Healthcare operational leaders and MSU ITS colleagues, the Director of Informatics designs road maps that are aligned with the strategic goals and objectives of MSU Healthcare.

The candidate must possess a strong understanding of clinical application concepts and capabilities for healthcare delivery systems, the healthcare regulatory framework and the expertise necessary to be an active participant for strategic and tactical technology planning and development. The candidate must demonstrate proven leadership skills, including the ability to strategize, influence stakeholders, coach and develop clinical team members.
