Health Informatics Director directs an organization's clinical biostatistics or health informatics department. Oversees the analysis, management and performance of health information data to aid patient care. Being a Health Informatics Director monitors latest software and technology to keep processes up-to-date and efficient. Valley County Health System Home Health & Hospice department has an exciting opportunity available for a Home Health & Hospice Director to join our professional and dedicated healthcare team. This is a full-time, exempt position working 40 hours per week. This position includes a $10,000 Hire-On Bonus!
Position Summary: The Home Health & Hospice Director leads, monitors and maintains effective department operations in the area of ensuring effective and efficient department performance and high-quality service in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Valley County Health System. The Director reports directly to the CEO and will oversee the department and its operations.
Education and/or Experience
· Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Nebraska
· Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred
· Five years’ experience working in medical administration preferred
· Two years’ supervisory experience in home health and/or hospice is preferred
REQUIREMENTS: • Extensive knowledge of home health and hospice regulations • Qualified candidates should possess Independent problem-solving skills and self-directed work experience • Current CPR certification • Strong knowledge of and experience with computers • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated excellent leadership skills • Must be familiar with the principals and practices of Nursing including Home Health Care as outlined by the State of Nebraska Health and Human Services.
