Position

Software Test/Quality Assurance Engineer

• Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL
• Security Clearance: Active Clearance Required - U.S. citizenship required
• Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 Depending on Experience and Education
• Travel: 5%

Position Summary

SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a Software Test/Quality Assurance Engineer to support our Gulf Coast Operation in Fort Walton Beach, FL. You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and execute automated software test plans.
• Analyze and write test standards and procedures.
• Maintain documentation of results.
• Work closely with business system analysts and software development team in resolution of problems.
• Design, implement, and execute automated testing suites on C#/.NET/SQL Server technology stack to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Design, build, and test high-quality, reusable automated test harnesses and modules.
• Develop and support automated unit, system, API, performance, and load test harnesses and modules.
• Document defects, reproduction steps, RCAs, and produce technical documentation.
• Leverage Azure Test Plans to configure test cases to be converted to automated tests, continuous build (CI/CD pipelines), and automated test frameworks.
• Learn and understand company products and services to help form their test requirements.
• Raise genuine concerns about the software quality.
• Assist with manual testing if needed.
• Assist in scheduling and actively participate in iterative and adhoc meetings within the team or associated with specific projects.

Minimum Qualifications of Software Test/Quality Assurance Engineer
Bachelors Degree in technical field of study and 3-5 years of relevant experience. Candidates are not required to possess all qualifications; if you possess some of the desired qualifications, please apply.

Desired Experience

• Experience with test automation on integrated applications and databases.
• Experience with Azure Test Plans.
• Ability to work independently and make good decisions.
• Ability to adjust to changing priorities, circumstances, and direction.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships within the QA team and other internal departments.
• Ability to analyze complex relationships and configuration and communicate results in a clear, summary form.
• Professional style and demeanor.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail- and team-oriented, innovative, a quick learner, and driven to produce results
• 2 years of automation experience building maintainable automation frameworks (eg Coded UI, C#, JavaScript, python, Selenium, Appium, TestComplete) and leveraging continuous build (CI/CD).
• Experience testing Web APIs, Services, UIs, and desktop apps
• Fundamental understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies (RedHat, Docker, and container orchestration).
• Experience using WinAppDriver or Coded UI a plus.
• Experience with highly available, highly scalable deployments on Azure Gov (Air Force CloudOne) is a plus.
  Experience with security testing a plus.
