Head of Nursing plans and directs all nursing personnel. Develops and implements nursing policies, objectives, and initiatives. Being a Head of Nursing reviews nursing department operations to ensure compliance with established standards. Ensures that all patients receive the highest quality care. Additionally, Head of Nursing requires a master's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to top management. The Head of Nursing manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function. Qualifications: Basic knowledge of proper housekeeping, floor care, and maintenance procedures; ability to learn proper equipment operation and new procedures; human relations skills; ability to lift sixty (60) pounds.
Job Goal: Maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform general custodial duties including floor care and general cleaning.
2. Maintain outside appearance of building, walks, and alley.
3. Perform snow removal.
4. Assist other building personnel with special projects.
5. Acquire general knowledge of building mechanical systems.
6. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the building manager or the custodial supervisor.
Performing the job duties of this position requires the following physical demands: lift fifty (50) lbs. occasionally, additional occasional lifting less than 50 lbs., reaching, standing, walking, carrying, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, and/or crawling.
