The ICU RN Assistant Director will join this award winning, 330 beds facility that’s designated as Level I trauma center, as well as Stroke and Stemi center. It has been recognized as Top Teaching Hospital nationally by the Leapfrog Group in recognition of their achievements in patient safety and quality.
Reporting to the Critical Care Director, the ICU RN Assistant Director will oversee a busy 100 staff members in a 30 bed Medical/Surgical/Cardiac ICU. This person will work alongside five Nurse managers and CCRN certified nurses in a busy department with state-of-the-art equipment and a supportive medical and support staff.
The Assistant ICU Nurse Director will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, supporting the staff's ability to meet patient needs. This will include developing and supporting educational initiatives, serving as a mentor to new leaders, and being a champion for quality improvement throughout the department. The ICU Assistant Director will also take on administrative duties in the department, including scheduling, staffing, recruitment and retention of staff.
