Head of Home Care leads and directs the daily operations of a home health care agency. Establishes and implements quality standards for patient care. Being a Head of Home Care measures and monitors patient satisfaction and outcomes. Ensures that all operations and reporting requirements comply with regulations. Additionally, Head of Home Care requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Head of Home Care manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Duties
- Provide compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their homes or in a nursing home setting.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication reminders
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including using assistive devices and lifting individuals when necessary.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of caregiving systems and techniques.
- Ability to provide patient care with compassion and empathy.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required.
- Experience in senior care or childcare is beneficial.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
