Head of Home Care leads and directs the daily operations of a home health care agency. Establishes and implements quality standards for patient care. Being a Head of Home Care measures and monitors patient satisfaction and outcomes. Ensures that all operations and reporting requirements comply with regulations. Additionally, Head of Home Care requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Head of Home Care manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Head of Home Care typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Registered Nurse RN Responsibilities:
Provide thoughtful care to client & patients based on personalized Plan of Care
Monitor and track changes in the client/patient’s conditions and needs, and keeps the Director of Nursing and any other appropriate personnel informed
Proactively updates client/patients’ family on plan of care, health changes, and concerns
Registered Nurse RN Requirements:
Current unrestricted RN license in state for which care is being provided
Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
Minimum one (1) year of documented experience required in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility, preferred.
Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
