Head of Anesthesiology jobs in Oklahoma
Head of Anesthesiology is responsible for the efficient operation of anesthesia services. Develops, implements, and maintains anesthesia procedures and practices. Being a Head of Anesthesiology works closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure the highest standards of quality and service are maintained. Manages a staff of anesthesia technicians and nurses. Additionally, Head of Anesthesiology requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top management. The Head of Anesthesiology manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Head of Anesthesiology typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Our staffing model includes a supportive team environment with two Anesthesiologists and six CRNAs on-site daily.
The case types at our facility encompass a diverse range, including bread and butter general surgery, urology, ENT, neurology, healthy pediatrics, and cardiovascular procedures.
In this role, the Anesthesiologist will receive competitive compensation totaling $525,000 for 35 weeks of coverage annually. The schedule offers a favorable work-life balance, with time off every third week. On days worked, the Anesthesiologist will participate in alternating call for cardiovascular cases only, with a low volume of approximately 40-50 cases per year.
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in anesthesiology is required.
- Board certification in anesthesiology
- Anesthesiologists must obtain a medical license from the Oklahoma State Medical Board
