Head of Ancillary Services directs and coordinates all aspects of non-nursing ancillary services like pharmacy, respiratory, medical records, and occupational or physical therapy. Sets policies and procedures and ensures all services meet the objectives of the organization. Being a Head of Ancillary Services requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Head of Ancillary Services typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Under the direction of the Ancillary Administrative Manager, the Coordinator Ancillary Services is responsible for managing all back end tasks for assigned Physical and Occupational Therapy locations. Provides to sites a clean DAR, ensures all visits are authorized, and updates assigned sites on needs from providers and payers. The Coordinator Ancillary Services ensures work is accomplished in accordance with Duly Health and Care policies and payer rules for therapy benefits.
