Head Teller ensures the daily operational activities of the teller line are executed with accuracy and fulfill required service standards. Processes and records routine transactions, handles complex or unusual customer transactions, and answers more complex customer inquiries. Being a Head Teller depending on policy, may authorize certain transactions. Assists with teller onboarding, training, and guidance. Additionally, Head Teller is responsible for vault oversight and the daily auditing, reporting, and balancing processes. Oversees each teller's daily reconciliation and assists if needed. Ensures that tellers comply with all operating, regulatory, and security policies and procedures. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Head Teller supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Head Teller typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     The Financial Concierge will be responsible for receiving and paying out money, as well as accurately keeping records of money and negotiable instruments involved in a financial institution's various transactions.

    The Teller meets the needs of customers by providing exceptional quality service.

    This position will be scheduled 37 hours / week between the hours of 08 : 45AM and 06 : 15 PM, Monday through Friday, at our Ketchum branch.

    Minimum rate of pay $18.00

    Rate of pay depends on experience*

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

    • Receive checking and savings deposits : verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts of deposit.
    • This position may require travel to branches in a designated area as determined by branch needs.
    • Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold requests when necessary.
    • Process withdrawals and cash checks : verify endorsement, obtain proper identification and ensure validity.
    • Identify counterfeit currency.
    • Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations, and consumer privacy policies.
    • Cross-sell bank products and services.
    • Refer customers to the proper department for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line.
    • Count and bundle currency and count and roll loose coins.
    • Issue cashier’s checks, process cash advances, and redeem U.S. Savings Bonds.
    • Accept loan payments : verify payment amount and issue receipt of payment.
    • Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded.
    • Ensure teller station is properly supplied.
    • Follow procedures for removing accounts from dormancy.
    • Balance drawer daily, following balancing standards and procedures.
    • Follow all bank policies and procedures.
    • Perform other transactions as need in accordance with policy and procedures.

    Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

    About You

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Good computer skills

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

    • 6 months or more of prior cash handling experience
    • 6 months or more of prior customer service experience

    WORK ENVIRONMENT : Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.

    Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.

    Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

    Specific lifting abilities required by this job include : Light work. The employee is constantly required to stand and walk.

    If the use of arm and / or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include : The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as : preparing and analyzing data and figures;

    transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and / or operation / inspection of machines and / or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
