Head Teller ensures the daily operational activities of the teller line are executed with accuracy and fulfill required service standards. Processes and records routine transactions, handles complex or unusual customer transactions, and answers more complex customer inquiries. Being a Head Teller depending on policy, may authorize certain transactions. Assists with teller onboarding, training, and guidance. Additionally, Head Teller is responsible for vault oversight and the daily auditing, reporting, and balancing processes. Oversees each teller's daily reconciliation and assists if needed. Ensures that tellers comply with all operating, regulatory, and security policies and procedures. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Head Teller supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Head Teller typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Summer Tellers will learn directly from experienced professionals in the industry, build relationships through interaction with colleagues in other areas of the bank, and help us fulfill our purpose of Changing Lives for the Better in our communities.

    Responsibilities

    Responsible for providing an exceptional Financial Center customer experience with passion and enthusiasm while facilitating customer transactions and the referral of bank products and services.

    Actively promote banking solutions to enhance a customer's service experience and achieve their financial goals. Assist with operational activities and responsibilities.

    • Assist clients with teller transactions accurately and in accordance with bank policy and procedure.
    • Foster relationship building conversations with customers to ensure customer needs are met.
    • Manage risk by maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, and Fulton policy and procedure to include operational, security and settlement procedures.

    Use sound judgment to identify and mitigate loss.

    Qualifications

    Preferred Education

    High School Diploma

    Required Experience

    6 to 12 months customer service experience.

    Preferred Experience

    6 to 12 months cash handling experience.

    This role may perform other job duties as assigned by the manager.
