Private practice, currently looking for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with AANP or ANCC certification exam license/certification. Practice hours: Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm.
Job Description: To assess, screen, evaluate, and diagnose children from birth through young adult to provide the full spectrum of primary care health services. Prescribe a comprehensive therapeutic treatment plan including pharmacological and non-pharmacological strategies, patient, and family education, as well as referral to collaborative members of the health care team when indicated. Employee is expected to contribute to the well-being of children and families through the client-nurse relationship, educating, and coaching, and ensuring the quality of health care practice, providing family centered care, and demonstrating cultural competency.
The licensed Pediatric Nurse Practitioner practice independently (full practice authority provided they have an equivalent of five years of full-time practice experience with a collaborating physician) is responsible for:
Required Education/Experience: Master's degree in nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner preferred. FNP considered with certification in pediatrics and worked around five years of full-time practice experience with a collaborating/supervising pediatrician.
Preferred Education/Experience: Previous experience providing care for patients aged newborn to 21 years of age in a pediatric or family practice setting.
Licensure, Certification, and Registration: Current, valid Virginia ANCC, PNCB, NCCPA (or equivalent) certification
Pay Range: 110K to 125K based on the PNP experience and Certifications
