Being a Head Nurse - Occupational Health conducts regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify any health or safety hazards. Maintains records, investigates accidents and injuries, prepares appropriate reports for OSHA, and ensures compliance with all occupational health, safety, and environmental rules and regulations. Additionally, Head Nurse - Occupational Health coordinates the procurement, review, and project management of contracts and service agreements with outside vendors. DUTY LOCATION : Theater Aviation Sustainment Maintenance Group (TASMG), Groton, CT
AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION :
Area 1 : All currently employed full-time permanent and indefinite personnel of the Connecticut Army National Guard.
Area 2 : All currently employed full-time temporary technician personnel and all current traditional members of the Connecticut Army National Guard.
Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY : The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a full performance Maintenance Test Pilot for multi-engine helicopter on one or more of the following rotary wing aircraft : Attack Helicopter, AH-64;
Cargo Helicopter, CH-47; Utility Helicopter, UH-60. Provides technical advice on associated maintenance functions and recommends test flight plans, policies and procedures.
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Connecticut Army National Guard.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : Must possess Federal Aviation Administration pilot certificates OR appropriate military certifications, military ratings in the main-frame military aircraft of employment, and the required competencies (knowledge, skills, and abilities).
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Must have a competent understanding of the occupation's basic principles and concepts. Applicants should have a minimum of one year on-the-job experience in the grade (or a comparable military rank) immediately below the next higher level.
