Being a Head Nurse - Obstetrics maintains pre-set inventory standards for solutions, supplies, medicines and equipment, and keeps track of narcotics. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Head Nurse - Obstetrics requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - Obstetrics manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.     POSITION SUMMARY :

    The Department Head performs a range of duties to meet the needs of customers and the business. This role is responsible for merchandising and maintaining the sales and stock room areas of their assigned department(s) according to company policies and procedures.

    The Department Head also partners with the store team to perform sales transactions and assist customers on the sales floor.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

    • Maintain OSJL merchandising standards for all assigned areas
    • Restock assigned department(s)
    • Merchandise new items according to company guidelines
    • Ensure all OSJL customers receive the best possible service on the sales floor and at the point of sale
    • Act in compliance with all Company policies and procedures
    • Handle all transactions and corresponding documentation according to company standards
    • Provide timely communication to store leadership on any opportunities for improvement
    • Address and resolve any issues in order to keep department(s) organized and safe for customers and associates
    • Support the training of all existing and new store associates
    • Operate a cash register as needed

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

    • Prior retail merchandising, customer service and / or cashier experience in other retail environments preferred
    • Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and good verbal and written communication skills

    • Responsible for physical activities including using hand tools, ascending or descending a ladder, moving, reaching, and lifting on a frequent basis : should be able to lift 35 lbs on a regular basis.
