Head Nurse plans and implements the overall nursing policies, procedures, and services for a unit. Maintains nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training clinical staff. Being a Head Nurse ensures that nurses are current in competencies, assessments, licensure, certifications, and other annual training. May provide direct patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating patients. Additionally, Head Nurse requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Nurse typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Workweek: 25hrs/ 29 hrs (summer)

    Starting Pay: $15.79

    What you’ll do as the Classroom Support:

    • During the summer all staff in the classroom help with the cooking.
      • Shares active supervision duties with other teaching staff and follows the universal active supervision plan. Will take the place of the teacher’s responsibilities if they are not in the room.
      • Will be involved in assisting with behavior support as needed. Follow the guidelines outlined by the behavior specialist as required.
      • Assist the teachers in participating in the classroom activities as outlined in the lesson plans.
      • Assist in the preparation of materials for daily activities.
