Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented MDS Coordinator to join our team. As an MDS Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Minimum Data Set (MDS) process for our facility. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy, medical documentation review, and care planning. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities: - Manage the MDS process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of assessments - Review medical documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements - Develop and update care plans based on patient assessments - Collect data on patient conditions, treatments, and outcomes - Observe patients to identify changes in condition or needs - Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop comprehensive care plans - Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and facility policies - Provide guidance and support to staff regarding MDS documentation requirements Experience: - Previous experience as an MDS Coordinator or similar role in a healthcare setting - Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology - Familiarity with MDS assessment tools and guidelines - Proficient in documentation review and care plan development - Leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams - Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to healthcare facilities - Experience in data collection and analysis - Understanding of assisted living regulations is a plus Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position. Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
