Being a Head Golf Professional coordinates marketing programs to promote the facility's services to potential customers and oversees member events and daily play. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Head Golf Professional requires an active Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) membership. Typically reports to a golf course general manager. The Head Golf Professional manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to all golfers, ensuring a positive experience
- Conduct individual and group golf lessons for players of varying skill levels
- Assist with golf club fittings and equipment recommendations
- Organize and oversee golf tournaments and events
- Maintain the golf shop inventory and assist with merchandising
- Ensure the golf course is properly maintained and meets safety standards
- Enforce rules and regulations on the course to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all players
- Assists the General Manager and Director of Golf with planning, promoting and directing all golf activities professionally and enthusiastically
- Represents the club in area professional events
Requirements:
-Maintain PGA of America Class A membership in good standing in an active classification
-Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
-Self-motivated with desire to promote and market
-Experienced in written and oral business communications
-Experienced computer user including; Microsoft Word and Excel
-Proficient in other applications, i.e EZSuite, EZLinks
- Valid driver's license
