Head Golf Professional is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and services of the golf course, including the golf shop, tournaments, practice facilities, and cart fleet. Ensures golf facilities are properly maintained. Being a Head Golf Professional coordinates marketing programs to promote the facility's services to potential customers and oversees member events and daily play. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Head Golf Professional requires an active Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) membership. Typically reports to a golf course general manager. The Head Golf Professional manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. The Assistant Golf Professional at Foxborough Country Club will be responsible for assisting in the management of the entire golf operation, including Men’s, Women’s, Mixed and Junior Golf programs and events/outings, instruction, shop concessions/merchandising, outside operations, and on‐course activity. He/she will coordinate closely with other key department heads — specifically, the Head Superintendent, the Executive Chef and the Club House Manager. As part of this management team, the Assistant Golf Professional is expected to represent Foxborough Country Club in a professional manner. Encouraging members of all abilities to play regularly and get full enjoyment out of the game; welcoming guests with respect and dignity and insisting on the highest levels of customer service.
Ideal Candidate will be able to work 40 hours per week, 5 day work week. Typical shift will be 6:30 AM to 1 PM or 12 PM to 7 PM - Hours change depending on season.
Previous golf course experience preferred.
Lesson/Clinic/PGA Jr. Income available if qualified.
