Head Golf Professional is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and services of the golf course, including the golf shop, tournaments, practice facilities, and cart fleet. Ensures golf facilities are properly maintained. Being a Head Golf Professional coordinates marketing programs to promote the facility's services to potential customers and oversees member events and daily play. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Head Golf Professional requires an active Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) membership. Typically reports to a golf course general manager. The Head Golf Professional manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Golf Professional typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to serve as the Head Girls’ Golf Coach for Grand Forks Central High School. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to the development and success of our student-athletes both on and off the course. The Head Girls’ Golf Coach will be responsible for leading all aspects of the girls’ golf program, including but not limited to:
- Developing and implementing effective training sessions and strategies to enhance player skills and team performance.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to student-athletes to support their academic and personal growth.
- Overseeing team logistics, including scheduling practices, games, and travel arrangements.
- Collaborating with assistant coaches, athletic department staff, and parents to ensure the overall success of the program.
- Upholding all organizational and league policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
- Strong knowledge of golf fundamentals, tactics, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate student-athletes to reach their full potential.
- Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Valid coaching certifications/licenses. Will have the opportunity to obtain certifications if hired.
- Background check clearance.
