Head Golf Professional is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and services of the golf course, including the golf shop, tournaments, practice facilities, and cart fleet. Ensures golf facilities are properly maintained. Being a Head Golf Professional coordinates marketing programs to promote the facility's services to potential customers and oversees member events and daily play. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Head Golf Professional requires an active Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) membership. Typically reports to a golf course general manager. The Head Golf Professional manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Golf Professional typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. We are looking for an enthusiastic golf professional (PGA Member or Associate) for this wonderful, seasonal opportunity. The professional can start as early as May 1, but we can certainly be flexible up to June 15.
As part of the Iron Horse Golf Club team, the Assistant Golf Professional is held to a high level of excellence.

Iron Horse is a great opportunity to contribute, learn, and grow in a high-end, private, equity club experience. The club is a 2nd club for the majority of members, whose primary clubs are the elite around the United States and Canada.
The course is perennially ranked amont Montana’s top 5 golf courses. Iron Horse Golf Professionals spend their time, approximately, in the following way : 70% outside servicing members and their guests, 20% in office time, and 10% in the Golf Shop.
This is not a traditional position (where it is required for a professional to work the Golf Shop counter). A golf professional can develop as quickly as they desire at Iron Horse.
