Head Golf Professional is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and services of the golf course, including the golf shop, tournaments, practice facilities, and cart fleet. Ensures golf facilities are properly maintained. Being a Head Golf Professional coordinates marketing programs to promote the facility's services to potential customers and oversees member events and daily play. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Head Golf Professional requires an active Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) membership. Typically reports to a golf course general manager. The Head Golf Professional manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Golf Professional typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. We are looking for a passionate individual to join as a key member of our management team and help us continue to deliver a high-quality golf experience for our members and their guests. We have a robust event schedule and junior program that provides plenty of opportunities to teach and build lesson clientele.

Essential Responsibilities
The responsibility of the golf professional team is to ensure consistent high-level member golf experiences daily which is all-encompassing for the whole staff. We identify strengths of each team member and assign key responsibilities based on the team make-up. The goal is for everyone to be involved with all facets of the operation, but also have key responsibilities and areas of focus to ensure empowerment and ownership of tasks. Examples of assistant duties may be:
Manage daily operations and tournaments
Teaching junior golf and player development programs
Teaching individual private lessons for members
Supervise hourly employees/interns
Hire and schedule summer staff
Assist with golf shop operations as needed (opening or closing management)
Play with members, pro-am participation, and casual play as desired
Club fitting, junior club fitting
Other relevant duties as assigned
